1992 Chevrolet 454 SS Pickup Truck White 1/24 Diecast Model Car by Motormax

The Performance Pickup — 1992 Chevrolet 454 SS in White at 1/24

The 1992 Chevrolet 454 SS is one of the most significant American performance trucks ever built — a factory-built, lowered pickup with the massive 454 cubic inch big-block V8 that produced 230 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque, making it the fastest production pickup of its era. In White, it's the 454 SS in one of its cleanest and most striking colour choices, showing off the truck's purposeful stance and performance details. Motormax's 1/24 diecast captures this collector's pickup in full scale detail.

The Story Behind the Model

The 454 SS was Chevrolet's factory performance pickup — lowered suspension, sport wheels, and the largest engine available, all in a standard cab short bed package that was genuinely quick. It represented a very different approach to the performance truck concept than the SVT Lightning or later Dodge Ram SRT-10, prioritising torque and muscle over handling. Produced from 1990 to 1993, the 454 SS has become one of the most collectible Chevrolet trucks of the era.
